Entrance to US National Parks will be free on Veterans Day weekend, from Friday November 11 through Sunday November 13, 2011. Even though these free days occur on Veterans Day weekend, free entrance is available to everyone (not just veterans).
Check the list of participating parks on the National Park Service website, and start planning a visit.
There are so many beautiful and interesting Parks you could visit, from the Chattahoochee River Recreation Area in Georgia, to Antietam National Battlefield in Maryland, to Saguaro National Park in Arizona.
These upcoming free Park days on Veterans Day weekend will be the last free National Park days in 2011.
