Free Meals for Students at Ikea–until July 2, 2011

Update July 20, 2011.  The free student meal deal listed below has expired, but I just got a flyer in the mail advertising free Ikea student entrees (meatballs or crepe) from July 18-31, 2011.  This was for the Portland Ikea store, but it’s worth checking to see if your local Ikea is also offering the free entrees.  There’s also a good deal at the Ikea restaurant for everyone (not just students) this coming weekend July 22-24, 2011.

Ikea stores are offering students free meals in their cafeteria until July 2, 2011.  Print out the free meal coupon and present it, along with your student ID, for a free entrée up to $6.99. 

The fine print states “one free entrée per transaction per visit”, so it sounds like you can go back again another day.  Even once is a fantastic deal.  The offer appears to be valid at all US Ikea stores except Houston.  Check the listings to find your closest Ikea store.  You can also call the store to confirm.

The Ikea restaurant café offers many meals that would work with the $6.99 coupon value such as chicken caesar salad or swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce.
