There were a few good organic deals (tomatoes, carrots, soy milk) this week at Safeway – none of them advertised in the weekly ad. Together everything in the picture above cost $5.09. My store doubles coupons up to 50 cents, without doubles, the cost would be $6.59. Here are the sale and coupon details:
Kikkoman organic soymilk, 32 oz, on sale for $2.29
Use double coupon and $1.00/1 coupon from Safeway MDA coupon book (coupon is good on any Kikkoman product, not just soy sauce)
Final cost: $0.79
Muir Glen diced tomatoes, on sale for $1.09 each, buy 2
Use double coupon and $1.00/2 coupon (a peelie from a can in my pantry)
Final cost: $0.34 each
O Organic tomatoes, on sale for $1.29/lb (great supermarket price for organic tomatoes, usual price is $2.79/lb)
Final cost: $1.19 (0.92 lbs)
O Organic carrots, regular price $1.79 for 2 lbs (regular price, but works out to less than $1.00/lb for an organic vegetable)
Final cost: $1.79
Barilla pasta sauce, on sale for $1.69
Use double coupon and $0.55/1 coupon (8/28/11 Smart Source)
Final cost: $0.64
Nivea lip care, on sale for $1.00
Use $1.00/1 or $3.00/2 coupons (10/2/11 Red Plum)
Final cost: Free
If you need juice, here’s another decent deal:
Mott’s 64 oz apple juice, on sale for $2.00, buy 2
Use double coupon and $2.00/2 coupon from MDA booklet
Final cost: $0.75 each
See last week’s Safeway coupon deals here. To find about about deals not in the weekly ad, I check the Safeway grocery delivery website – prices are close to those in-store. Here’s our video about how to use that part of the Safeway website (video is a little dry – but hopefully helpful).
